The Association’s premier programme is the Golden Star Award for Excellence. This is geared towards rewarding and recognizing exceptional performance, encouraging innovation and creativity among young professionals and to motivate individuals to strive for excellence.

The organization recognized that there is not an award programme which consistently recognizes young professionals for their hard work and achievements. It is as a result of this knowledge that the Golden Star Award for Excellence was introduced. Each month a young professional of excellence is selected to be the Golden Star Awardee. At the end of each cycle, which is for twelve months, the JAYP Young Professional of the Year will be selected from the previous monthly winners.

Nomination & Selection

The Golden Star Award for Excellence Programme operates as follows:

Nominations, that meet the prescribed criteria, are invited for the JAYP’s Young Professional of the Month Award. From there, a panel will sit, evaluate and select the young professional for the respective month. The young professional of the Month is notified of the selection and is rewarded with several prizes, including recognition in the media as well as have the opportunity to vie for the JAYP Young Professional of the Year to be awarded at the National JAYP Young Professionals Award Ceremony.
